Family Time

We had Christmas with my mom’s family a couple of weeks ago.  It was a great time and Katie really took to her cousins, Conor, Carly and Carson.  They are so great with kids and love to play, which I think is awesome.  Mason and Desi were also there, which is always a good time.  Everyone got to meet Caleb, including Great Grammy.

Katie wasn’t really sure about having her picture taken that day, but discovered a great new way to play.  She got out her black doggie and did her own little photo shoot with her own camera.  It was so cute to hear her saying, “Say cheese, black doggie!” and “That was a good one!”

Her imagination has really taken off the last couple of months.  She’s into playing doctor, dress up and cooking in her kitchen.  Her dollhouse is a constant source of inspiration – I’ve walked back and found all her dolls arranged facing the same direction.  Apparently they were all getting ready to watch Milo and Otis.  We like to sneak back to her room with the camcorder to record whatever it is she’s pretending at the moment – I’ll try to post a couple of videos soon for your entertainment.
