The “Real Katie”

These days, it can be hard to figure out what’s going on in Katie’s head.  Her imagination is really taking off.  We love going along for the ride and sometimes wonder where these ideas are coming from.  Case in point: the other day, she was frantically searching for “the real Katie”.  (You can imagine my confusion…)  After tearing the house apart, she finally found what she was looking for: a small plastic monkey buried in a large box of blocks.  Most alter egos are superheroes, but if you identify with a monkey…

Precious Moments

A couple of weeks ago, Caleb was playing in his activity gym.  For the first time, Katie got down and really interacted with him by herself, rubbing his head and showing him how to use all the stuff on the gym.  It was so sweet.  I hung back, letting them play and captured the moment on camera.

Pioneer Girl

Great Grandma Webster found a bonnet she made for a costume for Amma when she was a girl, and gave it to Amma to pass on to Katie.  It’s pretty cute!  Katie wore it outside while Amma and Umpa were visiting.

Family Time

We had Christmas with my mom’s family a couple of weeks ago.  It was a great time and Katie really took to her cousins, Conor, Carly and Carson.  They are so great with kids and love to play, which I think is awesome.  Mason and Desi were also there, which is always a good time.  Everyone got to meet Caleb, including Great Grammy.
